One of the best pieces of wisdom anyone ever gave me was this: "resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die from it."

You are well within your rights to tell her that you cannot bring your boys to visit at her house anymore, because it's too stressful for them and for you. And then offer to meet her at a hotel or at your own home, or at a friend's house or a sib's house.

I'm not going to do the whole "blahblahblah nobody can hurt you without your permission" crap. You know all that. The stress she puts you under is real. So remove yourself from it.

I love your last line. So wise. Love to you.

Ugh, so sorry. It sounds like a visit to my in-laws, a place I have rededicated myself to never visiting again.
